Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. General Information

These Terms and Conditions govern all purchases made through the Bonbelle online store (bonbelle-bg.com). By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms in full.

Bonbelle is a luxury brand registered in Bulgaria. All orders are subject to Bulgarian and applicable European Union consumer law.


2. Products and Personalisation

2.1 Personalised candles

All Bonbelle candles are made to order and include a personalised message chosen or submitted by the customer at the time of purchase. Each candle is individually crafted following receipt of your order.

2.2 Message content

Bonbelle reserves the right to refuse, modify, or cancel any order containing a message that is deemed offensive, discriminatory, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate at our sole discretion.

We will not produce candles containing messages that include hate speech, slurs, explicit sexual content, threats, or content targeting a specific individual in a harmful way. If your message is rejected, you will be contacted and offered the opportunity to submit an alternative.

2.3 Accuracy of personalisation

Please review your message carefully before submitting. Bonbelle is not responsible for spelling errors, grammatical mistakes, or incorrect content submitted by the customer. Once an order enters production, changes to the personalised message cannot be made.


3. Returns and Refunds

3.1 Personalised items — no right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article 47(4) of the Bulgarian Consumer Protection Act and EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised.

All Bonbelle candles are personalised products. As such, they are exempt from the standard right of withdrawal and are non-refundable once production has commenced.

3.2 Candles that have been lit — no refund

Once a candle has been lit, it cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstances. Lighting the candle constitutes acceptance of the product in its delivered condition.

3.3 Exceptions — damaged or incorrect items

If your order arrives damaged in transit, or if the personalised message differs from what you submitted, you are entitled to a replacement or full refund. Claims must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence to our contact email.

Bonbelle is not responsible for damage caused by improper use, failure to follow candle safety instructions, or storage in unsuitable conditions.


4. Message Retrieval Instructions

The hidden message is printed beneath the wax surface and is revealed progressively as the candle burns. To retrieve the physical message once it becomes visible:

  1. Allow the candle to burn until half way thought before removing the message
  2. Extinguish the flame completely and allow the wax to cool for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  3. Using clean tweezers or a similar tool, gently lift the message from the surface of the cooled wax.
  4. Handle with care — the message is a physical insert and may be delicate.

Bonbelle is not responsible for messages that are damaged, destroyed, or rendered illegible due to failure to follow these retrieval instructions. We strongly recommend retrieving the message before the candle burns beyond the halfway point.


5. Candle Safety

All Bonbelle candles must be used in accordance with standard candle safety guidelines. By purchasing and using our products, you agree to the following:

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep away from children, animals, and flammable materials.
  • Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  • Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Trim the wick to 5mm before each use.
  • Discontinue use when 1cm of wax remains.

6. Shipping and Delivery

Orders are processed within 2–3 working days following confirmation. Delivery times vary by destination and carrier. Bonbelle is not responsible for delays caused by third-party carriers, customs, or circumstances beyond our control.

Risk of loss and title for products pass to you upon delivery. If a package is lost in transit, please contact us and we will open an investigation with the carrier.


7. Privacy and Data

Personal data collected during the ordering process is used solely for order fulfilment and customer service. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. For full details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.


8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria and applicable European Union legislation. Any disputes arising from purchases made through bonbelle-bg.com shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Bulgarian courts.
